The traditional symbol of hashing is the outline of a human footprint, often including the phrase "On-On."

Unless anyone knows better we believe this symbol was first introduced by Bicester H3 UK in about 1975/6 on a patch designed by a Banbury schoolteacher.

Alternatives

The Nittany Valley HHH and Carolina Trash HHH both have 6-toed ON-ON feet possibly symbolizing the inbred nature of their kennels or their proud reputation for bringing unique contributions/that extra sumpin sumpin to the hash at large.
