Ear Shot's first hash was with the Charlottesville Hash House Harrier with his friend Fire In The Hole in 2003. He then found his local hash, the Crystal Coast H3, which named him. The next year he helped found the Anarchy H3 in the same area. Ear Shot also hashes on occasion with the Onslow County H3.
He has been know to travel and is bibbed member of the Carolina Trash and a tagged Gspotter.
His name comes from when he was drunk in college he said something about his desires with an attractive classmate and she was within "ear shot" and hear him.
