Chalk Talk is an informational time where the Hare(s) lays out marks that may be seen on trail.
Chalk Talk Purpose
There are many trail? marks used across the world. Chalk Talk is an important tradition to help reduce confusion, keep the pack on trail, and keep the pack from getting lost. Generally hosted after visitors and virgins are introduced at the start of a Hash, the Hares general draw out numerous trail marks, regardless of where they will be used on that trail or not. This adds a little variety to the Chalk Talk and keeps the Pack from knowing exactly what to expect on trail. While all the marks shown may not be on that particular trail, it is good etiquette that any mark used on the trail is shown at chalk talk.
