Beer Quest is a trail tactic used by C2H5OH (Columbus, "Cowtown with a Hard-on", HHH&H, OHio) to slow down front-running bastards (FRBs). Along the trail, a single beer is hidden (usually a "forty" of the cheapest variety). The trail is marked with BQ in chalk or flour. The first person to arrive must find the beer and drink it. As others arrive, they may share the beer. No one may proceed until the beer is gone. On occasion (such as particularly long trails or especially hot days), more than one beer may be left. These beers may include skunked orphans that have been sitting in a cooler in someone's garage for more than a year and only cost $5.99/case in the first place. As you can see, although the Beer Quest "rewards" FRBs with additional beer, it also punishes them due to the nature of the beer. Yeah, that's right...that's how we roll in Cowtown.
Beer Quest has begun to spread to other kennels via Cowtown visitors, including a confirmed Beer Quest in the faraway land of San Francisco (FHAC-U H3).
