The Hash in Syria was established in 1982, in Damascus, by a Hasher from Cairo, and it's still going strong. We Hash every Friday afternoon in the mountain regions around Damascus. There is a regular group of 20-30 Hashers and Harriettes.
THE LEVANT HASH 10-10-10
A ten-day hashing trip in Syria and Lebanon. First week of October 2010 (1-10 Oct.). Hash locations will include Damascus, Palmyra, Crac des Chevalier, the Cedars of Lebanon, Beirut and the Bekaa Valley. Trails will be set by hares from the Damascene and Beirut Hashes. Cost will be Euros 750 per person, which will cover accomodation, food, hash beer, and transportation to & from the hash sites.
